Free-to-play real-time strategy

FRONTLINE
ZERO

A classic real-time strategy game set in the Russia–Ukraine war. Build a base, grow an economy, and command infantry, armor, artillery and air power on twelve maps based on real places. Free, in your browser.

The game

A classic RTS of modern war

Frontline Zero is a base-building RTS in the spirit of the great real-time strategy games of the 2000s: build a base, earn income from towns, industry and oil, climb the tech tree and put together a combined-arms force. The units are modeled on today's equipment, so a match plays like a modern one: artillery reaches across the map, air defense decides who can fly, and drones and jammers are one more layer to plan around.

Play as Ukraine or Russia in skirmish games against the AI, one against one or two against two, or online with friends. Every person in the game is fictional.

What sets it apart

Modern equipment, classic strategy

01

Base and economy

Build from a sidebar, hold towns and industrial sites for income, and pump oil from fields that run dry. Money and power decide how big an army you can field.

02

Fires and counter-fires

Mortars, howitzers and rocket artillery outrange everything on the ground, but they need eyes on the target, moving units dodge their shells, and the other side's guns hunt yours. Shoot, then move.

03

The ground fights back

Dig trenches, garrison buildings, lay minefields: holding ground is cheap. Breaking through takes engineers and artillery.

04

Two sides, two ways to play

Ukraine plays precision, dispersion and adaptation; Russia plays mass, firepower and fortification. One readable set of buildings, two very different armies.

05

Air power and drones

Helicopters, jets, long-range strikes and drones, with air defense and jammers to answer them. Transport helicopters drop a squad behind the lines.

06

Classic RTS clarity

Units you can tell apart at a glance, a sidebar to build from, one-click orders and team colors on everything. Every soldier answers in his own language, Ukrainian or Russian.
